I can't believe that JD and I have less than two months to go before we become man and wife! It's been an interesting and fun adventure, and I can't wait to start this new one with him! It really hit me hard this past Saturday that I'm going to be married very soon! No more driving me to dates and then dropping me off. No more wishing I could kiss him. No more living on my own. It's exciting and humbling, but it's also just the start to another adventure. Life will change, but like my mom says, it won't change entirely. I will still be working with my two precious kids I nanny. I will still be doing laundry and making dinner from time to time. I'll still have to brush my teeth at the end of the day. ;) I've been thinking about my single life and how much God blessed me these past many years. He allowed me to enjoy a fulfilling life without a significant other. He let me know that I could do just fine on my own (with the help of others, of course), and that I could have fun and do great things without a significant other. So single people, please take heart! You have a great opportunity to reach out to people married people cannot reach out to. You have an opportunity to grow greatly in your faith. Take advantage of it!
Plans for the wedding are coming together! We've got a church, a reception, and food lined up! Invites will go out either later this week or early next week! (Depending on the weather...) I've got a beautiful dress I can't wait to wear! I've got sweet bridesmaids excited to help me! I've got a wonderful fiance who is willing to learn and work with me in the planning process! I am blessed, y'all.
As I write this, the outside is covered in ice! Luckily I get the day off, and I'm glad I don't have to walk outside in this slippery weather! Here's just a picture of what Georgia is dealing with right now. Dangerous beauty isn't it?
I have a sleepy dachshund on my lap right now and a sleepy cat nearby. It's a peaceful day. It also looks like leadership is responding to this emergency a whole lot more efficiently than two weeks ago! We have learned our lesson apparently! Haha. Here's a pic of me from a couple weeks ago enjoying the four inches of snow!
Now it's off to finish my wedding website! I can't wait to see everyone in a couple months, and I'm excited to share in this next step of our relationship! You all have been so supportive, and JD and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Please continue to pray for wisdom and a servant's heart for both JD and I.
Peace to you all!
Keri Lynn
