Continuing the Adventure!

Hey all!

October is upon us, and it is JD and I's one year and two month anniversary today! I don't know why, but he's been sticking around... Don't know how to get rid of him. ;) All joking aside, we sure have done a lot together this past year and so many months! He's the reason I started racing and doing all those crazy obstacle courses! This boy keeps me on my toes! He's also grown a lot over the past year or so, and it's so impressive to see. God has indeed done amazing things in his life, and I'm proud to be his girlfriend. I'm also looking forward to many more months and years to come! We're thinking about going to get sushi tonight, so that should be interesting! After being sick for a solid three days with some sort of stomach virus, I'm hoping this sushi is legit. haha.

We've been busy trapising around Georgia as well this past month or so since he's moved to Newnan. We've gone to Chattahoochee Bend State Park, Toccoa Falls, Tallulah Gorge, and Black Rock Mountain. Unfortunately from what I've heard, these parks are all closed at the moment.... But I won't get into that. Tallulah had to be my favorite and most adventurous part of our travels. The gorge is known as the Grand Canyon of the southeast. Lots of trails and climbing! You actually have to have a permit to walk on the floor of the gorge, and you might get a little wet. We plan on doing that next time we go to the park! I'd highly recommend going (just be prepared for a lot of stairs walking down and up through the gorge) if you get the chance! It's gorgeous up there!

I'm also starting a new medication for my clinical depression. It will take at least a few weeks to go into total effect, and I'm praying that God will pull me all the way through it. It's been tough with the sleepiness, stronger phobias, memory problems, irritation, guiltiness, taking personal criticism harder than usual, etc. However, yesterday, going to the doctor made me very hopeful, and I was pretty cheerful the whole day! It was a nice break from the usual depressed feelings and symptoms. As usual God is pulling me through it. I have no doubt though that I am not a perfect person, and I fail my God daily. However, He never fails me, and that's what's really important. So continue to pray for me, y'all.

I also taught my first night of Bible study! It went really well, and I'm excited to see what God will do with our group! We have a lot to learn from His word, and I can't wait to see how it will effect our daily lives as we reach to others. I really like this article recently posted on my Sunday School's Facebook page. You should check it out if you get a chance! Every person is important and necessary for the glorification of God! http://www.fieldnotesmagazine.com/chris-horst/im-living-the-dream/

The kids went on our first adventure to the library today! That was fun, and I love sharing my love of books with the kids I nanny. I'm hoping God will continue to build me into a good example for them so they see God in me. Luckily with this job, I can share my love of God with them in actual words, not just actions. This indeed is a blessing!

Peace to you all!
