So yes, it's finally happening... After four lovely years at Georgia College (with all their ups and downs), I am leaving, perhaps for good. I'm moving back to Newnan to do some heavy duty job searching while I'm in the area. I'm still hoping for a teaching position, but if worst comes to worst, I hope to find some kind of entry job. Whether or not I get to use my major this year or not, I will eventually use it to hopefully homeschool my kids, so even then it's all worth it! The economy isn't fun right now, but I know God will provide regardless. I am learning to trust Him again even in the difficult times. I'm just hoping to find a decent job so I can start paying of my student debt. Fun times... Oh how I love transition times! Anyways, I'm planning on doing most of my moving on Saturday if anyone is available to come help me out! It would be greatly appreciated! :)
I know a lot of people are discussing the appeal of DOMA, and I knew this was eventually going to happen if the country stayed on its course it is on. I remember being in California when Proposition 8 was voted on. I'm kind of surprised it wasn't appealed already. I read this really great article a friend posted about the situation, and I totally think it rings true. Here's the URL if you're interested: http://www.russellmoore.com/2013/06/26/how-should-same-sex-marriage-change-the-churchs-witness/ . I also had an interesting conversation with another student at Georgia College on the post I put on Facebook. I always love to talk about my Savior Jesus, and I always feel on fire whenever I get to talk about Him! So if you are reading this Kelley, thank you for talking with me! I always feel like I'm fulfilling part of my purpose on this earth whenever I get to share my faith! Also, if you scroll down, you'll see one of my blog posts on my views on homosexuality written out a bit more eloquently.
So JD is currently in China being trained for a five week teaching experience in China with the ELIC. (English Language Institute of China) Please keep him in your prayers as he teaches and spreads the word! Ironically, we both got each other a plush Star Wars Angry Bird character before he left. I got him the Han Solo bird and he got me the Princess Lea bird! Are we a lot alike? Yep. So we'll be taking pics of our birds while we're apart doing different things. I think it will be kind of fun, and hopefully we will be fairly busy so we don't miss each other too much! I did receive an email from him this morning saying he had landed safely in China and that he gets to visit the Great Wall tomorrow! I am jelly. Where JD is in China is exactly twelve hours ahead of us! I'm hoping he will bounce back from the Jet Lag fairly easily. This reminds me so much of my trip to Japan! Oh, how I miss my Japanese friends and teammates I have there! It almost became like a second home to me. :) Those experiences taught me so much and gave me a passion to see the lost come to Christ in Japan. Please continue to pray for them as well since they are still rebuilding after the tsunami/earthquake!
I'm off to go pack! Peace to you all!

My Princess Lea Angry Bird sat with me while I ate CFA today. :)
