Hiya people!
Well, I am officially done with the first semester of my sophomore year! Yay!!! It was a very interesting semester. So much going on and learning so much. I don't think my poor head can take much more information after an eighteen credit hour semester! But my efforts were much rewarded (thanks to God) and I received all A's. I was ecstatic since there were two classes where I was on the verge of either getting an A or a B. I give God the credit since I can't do anything without Him. :)
I've been making many new friends in the International Club. I enjoy learning about them and where they come from. Needless to say, I am especially close to the international Japanese students. We can relate in a lot of ways because of my experiences in Japan. I've been very blessed to have them as friends, and I look forward to sharing my faith with them more as our friendship progresses. There's so many other interesting students as well, so I'm getting to know a lot of different people. I think my heart is definitely in International missions. :)
One thing I've noticed recently when it comes to movies is there appear to be no original stories anymore! You have the occasional original story lines that blow your mind (like Inception), but those are few and far between. And movies are getting more and more risque. I recently went to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, and NONE of the previews were original EXCEPT for this movie called Cowboys and Aliens. Cowboys and Aliens? REALLY??? What is this world coming to? I did, however, enjoy watching the Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader yesterday. They actually did pretty good with the story line. Much better than Caspian in my opinion. It was enjoyable, but becoming sick while watching the movie put a damper on things. It got even better when I had to run out of the theatre and throw up into the trash can right outside! I thoroughly embarrassed myself even farther by having to go up to the poor employees and admit I had thrown up in the trash can! I had to tell them I couldn't make it to the toilet (I had tried once before actually throwing up), and I think my face turned red when I returned from cleaning up in the bathroom to them using Fe breeze and taking out the trash bag. At least I didn't really make a mess and the trash can was easy to throw up into... Sigh.
I am in the process of trying to intern in Japan this summer. Interning will be different from volunteering since my job will be different, and it will be like having a job. It should be interesting to see if it actually happens or not. It may or may not be God's will, and I am continually praying about it. I would appreciate it if ya'll keep me in your prayers as well!
Peace to you all!

Hey sister,
I both love and miss you. I'm glad you got all A's! Praise be to God :)
I might go see the new CoN movie, but I'm such a fanboy I don't know how they can possibly do it justice. I was such a fanboy of LotR and I got really, really mad at the movie at some points. I'd hate to do that again.
I wish you well with your ministry to Japan. I hope God does some great things with you.
Love you,
Reece
Hey Bro!
It's good to hear from you! :)
The CoN movie is pretty good, but there are some things that are probably going to make you cringe due to the fact that it does not follow the book to the letter. And of course, they do add things in there that were not there befoe. But in my opinion, it fares much better than Caspian. There really wasn't much you could do to mess up Caspian since it's pretty simple, but they did it somehow. I was really happy that they put in the line Aslan gives to Lucy about Him having another name in our world. However, it still pretty much sticks to the "We can save ourselves from ourselves" instead of "Only God can truly save us." And it is done by a non-Christian production team, so that's to be expected I guess.
I am truly excited about opportunities opening up for me in Japan! :) It looks like I'll be interning in the Yokohama area this summer. So I'm thrilled! I think the money thing is the one great prayer requests I'll need now.
Love from you sis,
Keri Lynn
