Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
This is the time of the year when we celebrate Christ's birth. Christ who humbled Himself and became a baby born in a stable to people just like you and me. And He chose those who were the most unlikely to hear the news first, shepherds. Not king(s), prince(s), or rich men. People who were more then likely filthy from being outside and people with probably very little manners. And He chose a young woman, more then likely just a young teenage girl, to give birth to His precious Son. He chose a carpenter as His Son's earthly father. God is an awesome god!
With all the presents and food let us not forget the true meaning of the season. I know you probably hear that a lot, but how many of us actually pay attention to it? I know I'm guilty of it. There have been a lot of Christmas days where I've thought more of the gifts under the tree than the greatest gift ever given. God is ever patient and kind.
Thank you Lord, for your love and grace. Thank you for the Gift you have given us unworthy human beings. Thank you for giving that gift to me. Help me not to forget You in all the hustle and bustle of Christmas day. I pray for all those I know who don't know You this Christmas, that You will guide them into Your loving arms. Thank you for every little thing people have given us this Christmas season. We are truly blessed.
Peace to you all!
Keri Lynn
