We're on a Mission!

Hi Friends!

Well, it's almost Spring Break for me! (Just one more class!!!) And I'm super pumped! Why? I get to go on a mission trip to Seattle, Washington and encourage a church there! We'll be doing a lot of church planting and just growing relationships while we're there. This church is pretty small, and we get to help them and encourage them to continue on, even when life gets tough! I am praying fervently that God will give all of us on the team a servant's heart to serve these people and witness for His name. If you all could help pray for us, that would be awesome! The more prayer the better. I am learning just important prayer is. On my campus, we're doing a 24/7 Prayer Vigil between all the ministries, and this excites me! Each person has a fifteen minute prayer slot to pray for our campus, for the world, and even for individuals that need prayer. Isn't that awesome? God is doing things, and our vision is becoming so great! If you all could keep us in your prayers as well, that would be amazing!

As many of you probably know, Japan had a huge earthquake last week, and right now, they're struggling just to keep Japan going. There's a shortage of food, fuel, and now there's the added threat of nuclear radiation. My heart really goes out to the people of Sendai. The port where I took the ferry to go to Hokkiado during my trip this past summer was completely wiped out! There was a story on the news recently about an American woman who was afraid for her sister who taught English in Japan and who was in Sendai when the tsunami hit. Luckily for her, a Japanese woman helped her find her sister and she was able to talk to her on the phone. But what really got me was the Japanese woman who helped her had no idea how her own family was doing! They went missing after the tsunami hit. I literally almost started crying right there in the gym where I had been working out and watching the news. Can you imagine helping someone else find family when you don't even know if your own family is still alive??? My heart breaks for the Japanese people. Luckily, the people I know really well there are all fine, but dealing with all the junk that comes with having a major disaster in your country. Please pray that God will use this disaster to really touch the hearts of the Japanese people, and that they may turn to Him when their lives are completely ruined. I know He loves them and wishes for them to call out to Him. I know He is ready and waiting with arms out open wide.

Anyways, that's the scoop of my life right now. Please let me know if you all have any questions! As of right now, I'm still planning on going to Japan this summer, but I don't know yet for sure if I will actually be able to go. But I really do hope I can! There will be many Japanese searching for the truth after this disaster, and I feel like they will be more open to listen to what the missionaries in Japan have to say. Life is but a breath.

Peace to you all!

Keri Lynn
