We Will NEVER Forget

Hello Everyone!

This truly is a somber day. 9/11 will always live in infamy, and those lives lost will never be forgotten. We are so blessed to live in a free (for now) country, and I don't think those of us who are Christian truly realize what it's like to live in a country where our very lives are threatened by those who hate the One we follow. There are Christians all over the world RIGHT NOW who have to make the choice. Live and reject God, or die while proclaiming the name of God. I only pray that if I am ever put in that position, that I will proudly proclaim the name of my Savior even while starring death in the face. God, make me brave and courageous like those who die for you every day.

I only pray that we will not be afraid of those who oppose us. We do appear to have a president who is very fearful of what they can do to us, and yet we are one of the most powerful nations in the world! And I think that has a lot to do with our roots. We were a nation that started off with God first and foremost. Sure, the men who wrote the Declaration of Independence weren't perfect, but are any of us perfect? So why are we so scared of them? Shouldn't they be the ones who are scared of us? The God of the Universe will take our side if we but ask, and yet we're scared! Tell me how this makes any sense. Of course, America has rejected Him in many ways recently, but I feel there is a revival taking place. Those of us who are Christians need to step it up! Don't be afraid of what the world can do to you! They are powerless over your soul, and that I can say as a promise. Although you do have to be a real Christian in order for any of this to be true. There are many "atheist" Christians out there, and they don't know what believing in God really is. I think especially in the South, many people are "Christian" without really knowing what they believe in. If you don't really understand what you believe in, it might be time to take a step back and really question if you believe in Him. Otherwise, you're just a wolf in sheep's clothing. And believing really does mean changing. You are putting aside your sinful self for a more righteous self, the one God created you to be. You may come "just as you are," but you don't leave God that way, I promise. If you have truly experienced God, you know His righteousness and purity, and the purity you receive in return. You are changed from the inside out. You want to follow Him. Now will it be easy? No. Is it worth it? Definitely.

With God's help, this country can turn around. But we have to be willing to follow Him. Otherwise, we might as well just let the country continue to go down the tubes. Please don't let that happen. Listen to what He has to tell you, and you may not like it, but if you choose to obey, He will use you in mighty ways! And that doesn't necessarily mean you have to be "tolerant" of what others believe in. Tell people if you think what they're doing wrong. HOWEVER, do not do it in a way that says you are better than them. We're all equally as guilty of death. If we don't tell people that they're wrong, and we don't live our lives out differently, what's to make people want to become a Christian? I mean, then we might as well not be Christians either. We'll just be wallflowers for Christ, and that is something I do NOT want to be. So what will you choose? Will you be a participant or a wallflower? It's your choice.

Peace to you all!

Keri Lynn
