Been Busy!

Hello!

Sorry it's been a long time since I wrote in my blog. Been really busy these last few weeks. I went on Choir Tour and that was fun. If I didn't tell you before it was a mystery tour meaning we didn't know where we were going. We went to Montgomery, Alabama; Perlington, Mississippi; New Orleans, Louisiana: and another city in Alabama. I might be forgetting some places and I apologize for it if there is.

Perlington, Mississippi is a small town on the border of Mississippi and Louisiana--I think--and they got hit by the eye wall of hurricane Katrina. We came and did a VBS sports camp for all the kids. It's amazing how much we take for granted. We have home and they sleep in trailers. We are very lucky. And their church was ruined and a lot of it had to either be rebuilt or repaired. They don't even have descent floors in there! And they take showers outside in some kind of "shed". Their water is pretty nasty to. But they take it so well. Even when their homes are recked. The kids were sweet to.

We would sing at worship time, and then we would split them into two groups and they would either go do Bible sudy or crafts(I helped in crafts), then we would have snack, and then we went to a different location and played different sports. They went home after we returned. It was fun. We bonded a lot with the kids. We had a total of about six or seven I think that became Christians. That was exciting! We did it for a total of three days. It was a great experience for me. Doing kinda what I want to do when I grow up. I want to be out there serving God and bringing people to Christ. That's my dream job. Some may call me crazy and a Jesus freak but oh well. Atleast I'm happy and not the fake happy the world projects.

I'll write more later! Bye!

Keri
